Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Regional Highway 47 in the Township of Scugog.

When: October 19, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Work will pause from December 15, 2026, to May 5, 2027. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Regional Highway 47 from 230 metres east of Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) to 250 metres west of Highway 12 in the Township of Scugog.

Why: Lane restrictions will be in place for the safe replacement of a culvert, ditching improvements, asphalt resurfacing and paving work.

Note: Temporary daily lane restrictions will be required throughout construction to facilitate the work safely and efficiently.

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
