Temporary closure: Waste Management Centre Sales Office

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the Waste Management Centre Sales Office (4600 Garrard Road in Whitby) is temporarily closed as construction is completed on site.  

When: June 1 for approximately two weeks. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the construction work schedule.  

Where: The Waste Management Centre Sales Office at 4600 Garrard Road in the Town of Whitby. 

Why: To safely complete construction on site.  

Note: During the closure, in-person purchases or exchanges for green bins, kitchen containers and bag tags will be unavailable. Instead, residents can purchase new Green Bins, kitchen containers, backyard composters and bag tags or exchange Green Bins and kitchen containers online at durham.ca/NewBins or call 311 (in Durham Region) or toll-free at 1-800-372-1102.
