Twin culvert replacement on Regional Road 8 at Concession Road 5 in the Township of Uxbridge

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Regional Road 8 in the Township of Uxbridge.

When: November 2 to 5, 2026. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Regional Road 8, from east of Concession Road 5 to 50 metres east of Concession Road 5, in the Township of Uxbridge.

Why: A road closure will be in place to allow for the replacement of twin culverts, ditching improvements and asphalt resurfacing. The work is required to support urgent repairs and maintain a safe roadway for road users and construction workers.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
