Upcoming lane restrictions on North Street in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on North Street (Regional Road 17) in the community of Newcastle in the Municipality of Clarington. 

When: Daytime only from September 15 to December 31. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: North Street, from 200 metres north of Grady Drive to 370 metres south of Concession Road 3, in Newcastle.

Why: To safely construct a multi-use walkway and place surface asphalt in support of new development.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
