Upcoming lane restrictions on Peter Matthews Drive in Pickering

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Peter Matthews Drive (Regional Road 28) in the City of Pickering.

When: October 12 to November 20. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Peter Matthews Drive, from just south of Burkholder Drive to Alexander Knox Road (Regional Road 40), in the City of Pickering.

Why: Lane restrictions will be in place to safely allow for catch basin and maintenance hole adjustments, as well as surface asphalt placement, in support of new development. One lane will remain open at all times with traffic control personnel in place to direct traffic.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
