Upcoming lane restrictions on Winchester Road in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Winchester Road in the Town of Whitby.

Where: Winchester Road, from Durham Street/Chelmsford Drive to east of Watford Street/Anderson Street, in Whitby.

When: July 2, 2024, to December 2025. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Why: To safely rehabilitate and widen Winchester Road.

Note: Lane restrictions will be removed, and the road will be open fully, from December 1, 2024, to April 2025. Lane restrictions will then begin again from April 2025 until December 2025. More details will be provided at durham.ca/WinchesterRoad.

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
