Upcoming lane shifts on Thickson Road North in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane shifts on Thickson Road North in the Town of Whitby.

When: April 24 to June 27, 2025. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: North and southbound lane shifts on Thickson Road North (Regional Road 26), from Carnwith Drive East to 250 metres north of Columbus Road East, in the Town of Whitby. One lane in each direction will be maintained by shifting the travel lanes to ensure continuous traffic flow.

Why: To safely install a storm sewer.

The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of work crews.
