Regional service impacts in observance of Remembrance Day

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of impacts to Regional programs and services on November 11 in observance of Remembrance Day.
When and Where: On Tuesday, November 11, the following programs and/or services will be impacted:
- Durham Regional Headquarters in Whitby will be closed, including provincial courts and offices, Ontario Works Office and the Child Care and Early Years Division Office.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57) from Highway 401 to King Street West (Regional Highway 2) in the Municipality of Clarington, as part of the reconstruction project.

New pedestrian crossover at Cameron Street West and Ann Street in Cannington

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero, a strategic road safety action plan, the Region of Durham has added a pedestrian crossover at the intersection of Cameron Street West (Regional Road 12) and Ann Street in the Township of Brock’s community of Cannington.

Encampments in Durham Region

Whitby, Ontario – The rapid growth of homelessness in Durham Region is deeply concerning. The encampment on Regional property, on Achilles Road, in Ajax, represents a critical situation requiring urgent action.
