Whitby, Ontario - The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of June 17 indicate that three public beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and businesses of upcoming lane restrictions on Harmony Road North (Regional Road 33) in the City of Oshawa.
When: July 2 to September 20. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

The Regional Municipality of Durham has completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Study for the reconstruction and widening of Rossland Road (Regional Road 28) from west of Ritson Road (Regional Road 16) to Harmony Road (Regional Road 33), in the City of Oshawa (see map). Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in collaboration with the Town of Ajax, is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Westney Road (Regional Road 31) and on Salem Road (Regional Road 41) in the Town of Ajax.
Where: Work will take place at various median islands on Westney Road and on Salem Road north of Highway 401, in Ajax.
