Whitby, Ontario – Public transit is essential for creating connected and inclusive communities and economic development across the region. It provides residents with access to job and educational opportunities, supports local businesses by facilitating access to shopping, dining, and tourism, and ensures that residents regardless of ability can access transit services throughout Durham Region.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Accessibility Advisory Committee (AAC) is pleased to announce that nominations for the 2025 Accessibility Awards are now open, and, for the first time, residents, peers, customers, etc. can also submit a nomination.
