Night work on Simcoe Street in Oshawa

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises that a portion of Simcoe Street (Regional Road 2) will be under construction beginning next week.
When: Work is scheduled to begin on June 24 and should be complete by August 30. There will be lane restrictions for the duration of the project, and overnight work will take place on weeknights between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) in the City of Pickering.
When: June 20 to July 5. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Southbound lane restrictions on Brock Road, from Rossland Road West (Regional Road 28) to William Jackson Drive, in Pickering.

Disposal fee increase for fill material at Regional waste management facilities begins July 1

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents that as of July 1, the disposal fee for loads containing any fill material (such as soil, concrete and mixed construction materials) will change from $125 per tonne to $250 per tonne.
When: Beginning July 1, 2019.
