Whitby, Ontario - The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of July 22 indicate that one beach has been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the Provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.

Lane restrictions on Dundas Street West in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Dundas Street West (Regional Highway 2), in the Town of Whitby.

When: Aug. 6 to October, 2019. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Eastbound and westbound on Dundas Street West, from the Highway 412 northbound onramp to just west of McQuay Boulevard, in Whitby.

Lane restrictions on Bowmanville Avenue in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents that a portion of Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57) will be under construction beginning August 6.

When: Work is scheduled to begin August 6 and should be complete by September 20. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: There will be lane restrictions on Bowmanville Avenue, from north of Concession Road 7 to south of Concession Road 8, in the Municipality of Clarington.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of night work on Simcoe Street North (Regional Road 2) in the City of Oshawa.

When: July 29 to Aug. 9. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Simcoe Street North, from 30 metres north of Robert street to Russet Avenue, in Oshawa.
