Whitby, Ontario – As temperatures drop, health risks increase for people experiencing homelessness. Cold exposure can cause frostbite, hypothermia and trench foot, and can make existing health problems—like heart and lung disease—worse.

Whitby, Ontario –Durham Region is experiencing cold temperatures and expecting a major snowfall today.
Environment Canada has issued a winter storm warning and is predicting significant snowfall acrossthe region.

Do you know a young artist who cares about protecting Durham region’s water? Durham residents aged 18 and under are invited to take part in our annual Water Report Cover Drawing Challenge! Become “Water Warriors” by creating artwork that showcases how you help protect water at home, school or in your community.
