CTMP major events are weekend-long race events where guests can come for the day or stay at the track and enjoy the excitement all weekend long with overnight camping passes. Children 16 and under are free to attend the events with an accompanied adult.

Cedar Park Resort & Water Park in Bowmanville is the ultimate family fun destination! This campground and waterpark has been open since 1955 and is a great spot for both a day trip or overnight stay. The resort offers tent-trailer, trailer or RV sites by the night, by the week, or by the month. Kids can spend the day splashing away at the water park and enjoy water slides, a splash pad, aqua playgrounds, and a pool. Summer Breeze Trailer Park in Cannington is a family-friendly park, and a great place to relax and enjoy nature just outside the city. Since becoming the new owners in 2020, the Johnston's family has put a lot of hard work and dedication into making this park a place for families to enjoy for years to come. The park currently consists of 60 seasonal sites, five temporary seasonal sites, and four tent areas. The grounds feature an outdoor swimming pool and playground, pickleball, shuffleboard and a half-court basketball, a pavilion and pond, as well as an indoor recreation centre, trailer and boat storage, and more.
Outdoor camping season typically runs from early-to-mid May to mid-October, and some of Durham's unique overnight stays run straight through the winter. Reservations are required in advance.
