It's Pick-Your-Own (PYO) season in Durham Region! Check out Durham Farm Fresh’s In Season Calendar to plan all your berry adventures, and stop by one of our many farms, orchards or country markets—many of which feature PYO strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and more!

Strawberries

 Strawberry picking season is officially here, and to celebrate, we’ve put together a list of the sweetest picks of the patch—a.k.a. all of Durham’s markets and pick-your-own farms—so you can plan your berry picking adventure and have the sweetest summer ever!

Raspberries

If fresh, locally grown raspberries are calling your name—we're glad you’re here! Summer raspberry season typically starts in mid-July and lasts until mid-to-late August. Here’s the “berry” best raspberry picking farms in Durham Region for you to enjoy!

Blueberries

Pick your own blueberries typically begins in late July and lasts until early September. Blackstock Berries has an assortment of berries to pick and explore, while Wilmot Orchards is all things blueberries. With three pick-your-own patches, offering nine different varieties of blueberries, at Wilmot you can enjoy a refreshing cup or cone of blueberry ice cream, and bring home some delicious baked goods or preserves to enjoy later!

Local Farms and Farmers’ Markets

You can also find fresh local berries—like Maple Grove Orchards, Cooper’s CSA Farm, or Hy-Hope Farm—at local farm stands and weekly farmers’ markets. If you’re not in the mood to hand pick your produce, you can also visit these local farms for fresh grab-and-go berries and other produce.
