Durham Region celebrates National Public Works Week (NPWW) from May 18 to 24, 2025. This week is dedicated to recognizing the contributions of our public works staff, who provide vital services that keep our communities running smoothly every single day.

Our Works Department delivers essential municipal services to both residents and businesses. From ensuring a steady supply of clean drinking water to managing sewage collection and treatment, designing and maintaining our Regional road network, and overseeing waste management activities, their work is crucial. We thank all public works staff for their dedication to our communities.
