Region of Durham facilities remain closed until further notice

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham advises residents that Regional facilities will remain closed to the public, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Regional Council will continue to be held electronically until further notice.
When: Durham Region facilities that are currently closed will remain closed until the new year.
Where: Regional facilities in Durham Region.
Why: To protect the health and safety of the public and Regional staff, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure on Brock Road (Regional Road 1) in the City of Pickering.
When: Saturday, September 19 for one day only. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Brock Road will be closed between Uxbridge Pickering Townline Road and Central Street/Concession 9 (Regional Road 5) at the CP Railway crossing, in Pickering.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure on Bloor Street East (Regional Road 22) in the City of Oshawa.
When: The first portion of the road closure and work will take place from September 21 until December 2020. The road closure and work will begin again in spring 2021 until the anticipated completion date of December 2021. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Townline Road North (Regional Road 55) in the City of Oshawa.
When: Ongoing day and night until December 12. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Townline Road North from Nash Road to Adelaide Avenue East, Oshawa.
Why: Construction of turning lanes and concrete medians to support new development.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is inviting residents to provide input on community icons for Durham’s eight local area municipalities, as part of Durham Tourism's new brand launching this fall. The online engagement sessions will help identify one unique feature, attraction, or experience that best represents your community.
