Watermain construction on Rossland Road West in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department will be constructing a new watermain on Rossland Road West, from east of Church Street to Westney Road North, in the Town of Ajax. Lane restrictions and weekend road closures will be required to complete the project safely and efficiently.
When: Work is scheduled to begin this week and will be complete in spring 2020. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind federal election candidates that in accordance with the Region’s Temporary Sign By-law No. 76-2017, as amended, all signs must be removed within 48 hours following the election (by the evening of Wednesday, October 23). Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is hosting a second public information centre to engage with residents about plans to increase the amount of waste processed each year at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) by 20,000 tonnes.
When: Wednesday, October 23, from 5 to 8 p.m.
