Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department, invites residents to drop off Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), free of charge, at a special upcoming collection event. At this event, residents can also pick up free compost.
When: Saturday, April 29, from 8 a.m. to noon (rain or shine)

Whitby, Ontario – In appreciation of a continued community-wide commitment to the Regional organics collection programs, residents are invited to pick up compost, free of charge at upcoming giveaway events in Oshawa and Whitby.

Lane restrictions on Taunton Road in Pickering

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions on Taunton Road (Regional Road 4), between Sideline 22 and Sideline 26, in Pickering.
WHEN:
Work is underway and will continue through July 31. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is asking Durham residents to help stop water theft by reporting suspicious activity around hydrants. The Region has new plastic rings to help the public quickly identify which hydrants are permitted water filling stations.
When: Throughout the spring, summer and fall months.
