Lane restrictions on Victoria Street in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions on Victoria Street (Regional Road 22), from Halls Road to Seaboard Gate/Jeffery Street, in Whitby.
When: Work is underway, and is expected to be complete by August 2018. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Spring cleaning? Donate household items at Reuse Days

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is encouraging residents to drop off reusable items, free of charge, at Reuse Days. The items will be donated to Habitat for Humanity ReStores (Ajax, Oshawa and Uxbridge locations), Diabetes Canada and the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
When: Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Emergency Management Office (DEMO) reminds residents to be prepared for emergency situations this spring, such as the potential for flooding caused by melting snow or heavy rains—which can result in hazardous driving conditions, issues in and around your home, and increased water levels in local bodies of water.
