UPDATE: Ontario extends stay-at-home order by 14 days

Whitby, Ontario – The Province of Ontario has extensionended the stay-at-home order by an additional 14 days.  

When: The stay-at-home order, which went into effect on January 14, will now expire on February 9, unless further extensionended.

Where: Province-wide, including all eight municipalities in Durham Region.

What:  The stay-at-home order requirements, restrictions and enforcements include, but are not limited to:

Whitby, Ontario – The Province of Ontario has announced a province-wide shutdown beginning Saturday, December 26.

When: New restrictions go into effect on Saturday, December 26 at 12:01 a.m. and will last for 28 days before a reevaluation.

Where: Province-wide, including all eight municipalities in Durham Region.

What:  The province-wide shutdown involves widescale prevention measures and restrictions, including closures. Measures include, but are not limited to:

Whitby, Ontario – As part of Envision Durham, the Region of Durham has released Proposed Policy Directions pertaining to Major Transit Station Areas (MTSAs).

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is holding a Virtual Public Information Centre (PIC) for input into a study to evaluate transit priority pilot options on Simcoe Street in the City of Oshawa.

Beaver River Bridge in Beaverton closed for repairs

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the Beaver River Bridge in Beaverton will be temporarily closed to traffic for repairs.

When: Starting November 9 for approximately two to three months. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
