Medical Priority Dispatch System launches in Durham Region

Whitby, Ontario – Starting today, the Region of Durham Paramedic Services (RDPS) and Oshawa Central Ambulance Communications Centre (CACC) are implementing the Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) to enhance how 9-1-1 medical emergencies are assessed and how paramedic services are deployed in the region.

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Salem Road North (Regional Road 41) in the Town of Ajax.
When: May 20 to July 15. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Shirley Road (Regional Road 19) in the Township of Scugog.
When: May 24 to June 20, 2025. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.
Where: Shirley Road, east and westbound lane restrictions from Simcoe Street to 0.5 kilometres east of Graham Road, in the Township of Scugog.
Why: To complete road resurfacing. Paved shoulders and new pavement markings will also be included in the work.
