Whitby, Ontario- Durham Region Health Department has announced that as of Monday, March 8 at 8 a.m., residents 80 years and older (born in 1941 or earlier), can begin booking appointments to receive their COVID-19 vaccine. Here’s what you need to know:
What:Information you will need to book an appointment online includes:
- Telephone number (home or cell phone)
- Home address, including postal code

Whitby, Ontario - Residents over the age of 80 are advised that Durham Region Health Department is currently finalizing details for an online booking system and community-wide call centre for those who wish to register for a COVID-19 vaccine. Whitby, Ontario – The Province of Ontario has announced the extension of the stay-at-home order for Durham Region.
When: The stay-at-home order, which went into effect on January 14, will now expire on February 16, unless further extended.
Where: The provincial government is moving to a regional approach to re-opening the province and is maintaining the shutdown in the majority of public health regions, including Durham Region.

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department public health inspectors will be visiting area big box stores to ensure compliance with COVID-19 public health measures as part of a provincial enforcement blitz happening this coming Saturday and Sunday.
