Kingston Road Bus Rapid Transit project from Rotherglen Road to Harwood Avenue in Ajax - Night Work

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is continuing construction for the Durham-Scarborough Bus Rapid Transit (DSBRT) project on Kingston Road (Regional Highway 2) from Rotherglen Road to Harwood Avenue in the Town of Ajax. As part of the work, nighttime construction activities are required for watermain construction.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham’s annual line painting season is underway and Durham road users are reminded to exercise caution when approaching line painting vehicles. 

Drivers are reminded to please be patient, exercise caution, keep a safe distance back from the follow-up trucks and do not cross freshly painted lines. Upcoming road closure on Bloor Street in Courtice

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Bloor Street in the community of Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: From June 22 to July 3. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Full road closure on Bloor Street, from Courtice Road to 45 metres east of Courtice Road, in the Municipality of Clarington. Detour routes will be posted.

Why: To safely install a sanitary sewer main in support of new development.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region is advising residents that the Ontario Works Office at 200 John Street West, Midtown Mall, Oshawa, closed June 4 due to watermain work in the surrounding area. Ontario Works services and supports can be accessed at Region of Durham Headquarters at 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby.

Where: Ontario Works Office – Unit C1A, 200 John Street West, Midtown Mall, Oshawa.
