At the Durham Region Health Department, we have a team of health professionals which include school public health nurses, immunization nurses, oral health staff and health protection staff that are dedicated to promoting and protecting the health and well-being of children and youth in all schools in Durham Region. Our team strives to achieve optimal health of the entire school community through partnership and collaboration with school boards and schools.

School-based public health clinics | ||||||
Grade 7 school vaccine clinics For the 2024-2025 school year the Durham Region Health Department will be providing three vaccines (listed below) to eligible grade 7 and 8 students at your child's school. It is safe for your child to get multiple vaccines at one time. The following school-based vaccinations are free at Durham Region Health Department clinics. They are not free through your health care provider:
