Region of Durham will connect home child care community at virtual event

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is hosting the Connecting Home Child Care virtual event to help engage the home child care community and gather valuable information.
This virtual event is open to all members of the home child care community, including home-based organizations and providers, home visitors, special needs resourcing agencies and services, EarlyON and local colleges.

Health Department receives notice from province about delay in delivery of Pfizer vaccine

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department has been notified by the Ontario Ministry of Health that there will be a delay in shipment of Pfizer vaccine affecting delivery to Durham Region mass immunization clinics. As a result of this delay, effective June 22, all clinics in Durham Region will move to offer Moderna for appointments booked by individuals 18 and older until additional Pfizer vaccine is received.

Province designates Durham Region as a Delta variant of concern hot spot

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure of Windfields Farm Drive East, east of Simcoe Street North in the City of Oshawa.
When: June 22 until June 25. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
