Whitby, Ontario – Curbside Giveaway Day is back to help you turn your unwanted goods into someone else’s treasure! Curbside Giveaway Day is an event organized in co-operation with the local area municipalities, where residents can place unwanted items still in good condition—clearly marked as “Free”—on their curb for anyone to pick up. At the end of the Curbside Giveaway Day, residents should bring any items that were not taken back into their homes.
When: Saturday, June 13, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

At this time of year, farmers often need to use public roads to get from field to field in preparation for harvest season. During harvest season, they will also need to use public roads to transport their nutritious food to our communities.
Drivers may experience temporary delays on rural roads due to slow moving farm equipment. Motorists are reminded to be patient and cautious when sharing the road with these vehicles.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region residents and invited to browse antique cars and shop local vendors at the upcoming Spring Community Vendor Sale and Antique Car Show, hosted by Fairview Lodge Long-Term Care Home.
What: The Spring Community Vendor Sale and Antique Car Show. All are welcome to attend, and admission is free.

The Region of Durham reminds drivers to leave at least one metre of space when passing or travelling alongside people on bicycles to improve safety for everyone using the road.
