Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents and businesses of upcoming lane restrictions on Harmony Road North (Regional Road 33) in the City of Oshawa.
When: July 2 to September 20. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Harmony Road North, from 1 kilometre to 1.5 kilometres north of Conlin Road East, in Oshawa.

The Regional Municipality of Durham has completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (MCEA) Study for the reconstruction and widening of Rossland Road (Regional Road 28) from west of Ritson Road (Regional Road 16) to Harmony Road (Regional Road 33), in the City of Oshawa (see map). Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, in collaboration with the Town of Ajax, is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Westney Road (Regional Road 31) and on Salem Road (Regional Road 41) in the Town of Ajax.
Where: Work will take place at various median islands on Westney Road and on Salem Road north of Highway 401, in Ajax.

Whitby, Ontario – Starting July 1, The Regional Municipality of Durham will be accepting diapers, menstrual products, incontinence products, pet waste and pet litter in the Green Bin for weekly curbside collection. The enhanced program will continue to use the same style of Green Bins.

Whitby, Ontario – Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a heat warning for both the north and south Durham Region areas. This is the first heat warning of 2024 under Durham Region Health Department’s seasonal Heat Warning and Information System. Dangerously hot and humid conditions are expected for most of the week.
