Labour Day holiday will affect blue box recycling collection schedule

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to remind residents of changes to scheduled curbside blue box collection due to the Labour Day holiday.

When: September 3 to 8.

Where: Residents in the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the next day.

Update: Parking lot and garage at Durham Regional Headquarters under construction

Whitby, Ontario – In addition to ongoing work on the parking garage at Durham Regional Headquarters in Whitby, the south parking lot will also be under construction until late September. This work will temporarily reduce the number of parking spots available in the south parking lot.

When: Work on the south parking lot begins today and is expected to be complete by the end of September. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
