Stronger together: Durham launches new program to combat hate

Over the past year, hate-motivated activity in our region has increased. Durham Region’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Division in partnership with Victim Services of Durham Region proudly launched the Community-Based Hate Reporting Program.

The shelter at 1635 Dundas Street East is expanding into supportive, transitional housing. With new funding, the site will offer 104 beds and services that help people move from homelessness to permanent housing.
