Illegal Dumping

It is illegal to dump garbage on roadsides. If you see someone dumping, report it by completing our Illegal Dumping form. You can also report areas that have been dumped on.

Witnesses to roadside dumping should record the following information:

• Vehicle licence plate number
• Colour and make (or general description) of the vehicle
• Location
• Time of day
• Date of dumping
• Basic description of the waste

Local municipal by-laws and provincial environmental protection laws apply to anyone who dumps garbage illegally.
