If you have a positive pregnancy test, women in Canada have many options:

- Medical abortion.
- Surgical abortion.
- Adoption.
Abortion
An abortion can happen when a woman chooses to end a pregnancy. There are two kinds of abortion. Abortion is legal in Canada.
Medical abortion |
Medical abortion is ending a pregnancy at home using medication. Mifegymiso is Health Canada approved and available for medical termination of pregnancy. Generally, this medication can be used up to nine weeks of pregnancy. There are several clinics that offer medical abortions:

Surgical abortion |
Surgical abortion (procedural abortion) is ending a pregnancy through a surgical procedure done at an abortion clinic. Generally, this procedure can be done between six and 24 weeks of pregnancy.
