Durham Regional Council operates on a Standing Committee system. It makes recommendations for Durham Regional Council to consider. Information about our Committees and Council can be found on our Committees page.

Agendas

Agendas for all regular and special meetings are available to the public and are posted on our Council and Committee Calendar prior to the meeting.

Standing Committee meetings follow a monthly meeting schedule starting on the first Tuesday of the month. The agendas are posted to our website, on Friday afternoon, the week before the scheduled meeting.

Durham Regional Council meetings are scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of each month. The agenda is posted to our website, on Friday afternoon, the week before the scheduled meeting.

Agendas for Special Council, Standing Committee or Committee of the Whole meetings are posted at least 24 hours before the meeting.

Minutes

Council Information Packages

A Council Information Package is posted on our website every Friday and includes information reports, memos from staff, resolutions from other municipalities, written correspondence, and advisory committee minutes. The purpose of the Council Information Package is to keep Regional Council and the public informed on key issues. View our Committees page for information on our various Committees.

Declarations of Interest

Members of Council and local boards are required to submit a Declaration of Interest form whenever they make a declaration on an agenda item at a Committee, Council or local board meeting. The forms are available for viewing in our online registry.

Speak at a Council or Committee meeting

Collection, use and disclosure of personal information

Written information (either paper or electronic) that you send to Durham Regional Council or Committees, including home address, phone numbers and email addresses, will become part of the public record.  If you have any questions about the collection of information, contact the Regional Clerk/Director of Legislative Services.
