Child Immunization and School Clinics
Every time your child gets immunized you need to report it to Durham Region Health Department.
You can view or report immunizations online using the Immunization Connect Ontario (ICON) tool. ICON allows you to report and view your child's immunizations online any time. You can also attach a photo of the record.

Vaccine laws in Ontario help protect children who attend licensed child care centres and schools.
Diseases can spread quickly in child care centres and schools. Vaccines help your child develop immunity to prevent disease and limit spread to others.
Book a school-based vaccine appointment.
Bookings are now open for eligible students in grades 7 to 12 who have missed their school-based immunizations due to the COVID-19 pandemic. These school-based vaccines provide protection against Meningitis, Hepatitis-B, and Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). If you have already started a vaccine series, it is not necessary to restart the vaccination, but important to complete all the required doses.
The Health Department is running community immunization clinics in Pickering and Oshawa seven days a week for eligible students. Clinics are open and will continue until the end of May.

Grade 7 to 12 school vaccine clinics | ||||||||
The Health Department is providing community immunization clinics for eligible students in grades 7 to 12. Students who have not yet started or completed their Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Hepatitis B (Hep B), or Meningococcal C-ACYW135 vaccine series are eligible to book an appointment at one of our clinics. These vaccines are free of charge to eligible school-aged children in grades 7 to 12. Students who did not finish their vaccine series will only need to get the remaining dose(s). A vaccine series does not need to be restarted, even if the recommended time between doses has passed.
If you received a vaccine through your primary care provider or family doctor, the ICON system is not automatically updated. Please update your child’s vaccine record in ICON if they received a Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Hepatitis B (Hep B), or Meningococcal C-ACYW135 vaccine from a primary care provider or family doctor. Clinics are open and will continue until the end of May.
