Adult Day Programs

The Regional Municipality of Durham runs three Adult Day Programs that provide supervised therapeutic, social and recreational programming in a safe setting.

The Hillsdale Estates Adult Day Program, located in Oshawa, specializes in programs for adults living with dementia. The Lakeview Manor Adult Day Programs, located in Beaverton and Port Perry, offer integrated programs for adults living with a wide range of physical and cognitive abilities.

These programs assist our clients in achieving and maintaining their highest level of functioning. The programs also offer a break for caregivers and family members, so they can enjoy personal time while professional and experienced staff care for their loved one.

We offer a wide range of activities based on individual interests and abilities. In a home-like environment, clients participate in activities designed to support socialization, well-being and quality of life.

Daily hot lunch and snacks
Outdoor programs
Gardening
Multi-age programs
Visiting pets

Assistance with personal care

Rate

Daily Fee: $23 (Fee includes a hot lunch and snacks during the day.)

Support is available for those who meet the eligibility criteria:

willing to participate in the program.
able to maintain activities of daily living with support and guidance (example: control of bowel and bladder, transfer with help from 1 person, maintain hygiene, minimal feeding support required)
is able to participate in a group setting without compromising the safety of themselves or others
