Employee Assistance Program
Family Services Employee Assistance Program (FSEAP) Durham is a program for employees that provides quick access to confidential short-term counselling.
Who is eligible
This service is available for people whose employers have contracts with us, and where the employer provides this service as part of their employee benefits program.
Cost
The employer covers all of the fees.
Counselling for you and your dependents
This counselling is available to employees and their eligible dependents, including services for individuals, couples and families.
Individual services
Counselling for you and your dependents
Counselling is available to employees and their eligible dependents. Service is provided to individuals, couples and families. Counselling sessions may take place in-person at one of our office locations, or remotely by phone or video.
Counselling can help with issues including:
- Managing personal and job stress
- Addressing depression or anxiety
- Coping with separation and loss
- Building stronger family and personal relationships
- Resolving conflict
- Balancing work and family
- Responding to personal crises
- Identifying problem substance use
- Recovering from trauma, harassment, or abuse
- Adjusting to life or job transitions
- Planning personal growth and development
- Planning professional growth and retirement
FSEAP also provides access to a variety of work/life services to help employees manage work and personal life responsibilities and reach their goals, including:

- Career Counselling
- Child/Eldercare Consultation
- Financial Counselling and Consulting
- Life Coaching
- Health Coaching
- Nutritional Counselling

Locations
FSEAP Durham is part of a Canada-wide network of Family Service Employee Assistance Programs. Counselling is also available at more than 1,000 locations across the country.
Services are also available for people who are eligible, but are residing or travelling outside Durham Region.
To express a concern about our service
To express a concern about the service you have received, first speak with your counsellor. If you are not comfortable doing so or your concern is not addressed, contact a manager at 905-666-6239 ext. 5. If your concern remains, you can contact the Director’s Office at 905-668-4113 ext. 2775. If your concern is still not addressed you may appeal to the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, based on the counsellor’s professional association.
